FAQ
What is a FiveM sound pack?
A sound pack replaces the game's own sounds - gunshots, headshots, reloads, shell casings, impacts - with ones you choose. In FiveM and GTA V it is a pair of files, RESIDENT.rpf and WEAPONS_PLAYER.rpf. The Soundpack Tool makes both for you.
Do I need to know how to code or use OpenIV?
No. You pick a sound, press Replace or drag your own file in, move the sliders, press Save sound and then Build Pack. The tool builds the RPF files and can install them for you.
Can I edit a sound pack someone else made?
Yes. Press Import a pack to edit and open the pack's RESIDENT.rpf and/or WEAPONS_PLAYER.rpf. Its sounds stay, and you change only the ones you want: louder, quieter, longer, shorter, or a new sound.
Can I make a sound longer than the game's sound?
Yes. The Length slider goes from 25% up to 300%, and the tool writes the new length into the pack so the whole sound plays in game.
How do I install the sound pack?
After Build Pack, press Install to GTA / FiveM. The tool finds your game, backs up your current files, and copies the new pack into the right folders. Always follow your server's rules on custom files.
Does it update itself?
Yes. When a new version is out, the tool shows an Update now window and updates itself in about a minute. Your key and your packs stay.
